After attending his first race at just a few months old, a career in motorsport was always in the stars for Viktor Vranckx.
As soon as he reached his teens he was competing in autocross and CrossCar events, and quickly became a junior champion in both his home country and Italy. When Vranckx moved up to international rallycross in 2022, he was immediately successful – he never once finished off the podium, taking the RX2e title a year after his mentor Guillaume de Ridder achieved the same feat.
With the 2022 RX2e championship wrapped up, he came to America to make his next step, and immediately impressed with a strong partial season in 2023. On his first final appearance – in only his second start – at Glen Helen Raceway, Vranckx finished fourth, narrowly missing out on a podium finish.
He might be the youngest driver in our premier class, but this isn’t some kid knocking at the door looking to make a mark, Vranckx is the real deal, and don’t be surprised to see a win or two under his belt by the end of the season.
